The Kitchen

I have been requested by my sister to outline the kitchen.  Dangerous ground for me, Alison is bound to correct me.  In my ignorance I may use words like Stark and Barren, where clearly I should state the truth using the correct terms such as neutral,  open and clean.  But I digress, we are planning on an open, neutral, house where we can add colour and character as suits our tastes based on a simple and eloquent colour scheme.

Kitchen is in shades of white, we have lexicon 1/8 white for the walls, same thing  in gloss for the skirting boards, whisper white stone benchtops, and I still forget the rest, tiles have all been upgraded to something more lively, and attempts are being made to ensure we don't get the triboard under the skirting boards.  Forget getting pure white, you cant get it without signing a disclaimer that you will accept a sub standard job.  That's because if the paint is pure white you can see the defects in the brushwork and it won't pass muster,  Dulux offers a range of whites with various amounts of black added.  We have chosen Lexicon 1/8 as it has the lowest amount of black added.  A better outcome would be to replace the dulux black with another companys brown, but that is not an option as it must be dulux apparently.

Splashbcak is "Starfire" toughened glass  to 700mm high to Kitchen/Pantry and Kitchen side
external walls in lieu of standard clear on clear glass splashback.
Stone bench tops with 40mm edging, with waterfall on both sides of island bench, sink by the window, ovens on left wall

Appliances:
- two 60 cm ovens, buying a small car instead should have been considered and would have cost about the same
- one microwave with loads less features and power than my 25 yo Panasonic, but apparently will look better - I think the microwave may find a place outside in my BBQ area.  Not that it is needed just that I am loath to throw it out, and I suspect that it will be used when the new one dies after a month or two
- dishwasher - same brand as overpriced European and underpowered Microwave ovens
- 90 cm gas rangehood - as above
- Fridge LG730L, only brand I can mention, as if I haven't anything good to say, then I should say nothing
- Franks bar fridge, he said he would give me one if I brought a house from him and he came good - that will go in my upstairs study (bed3 next to my, I mean our, balcony)

The following diagram outlines the details, ovens on lefthand wall as shown, lots of cupboards, more than shown I think
